How to do a factory reset on versa 3

from clock / home screen, swipe from right to left.

click settings

scroll all the way to bottom, penultimate option is "About Versa 3"

scroll to bottom

press "factory reset"

confirm you want to reset.

Is there a reason of why you want to perform a factory reset? If you want to give your Fitbit device to another person or want return it, please see How do I erase my Fitbit device? 

Please note that we do not recommend performing a factory reset on your Fitbit device unless it's advised/suggested by our Support Team or a Fitbit moderator. Otherwise, your device may be permanently damaged.

I find that response a little condescending if I'm honest. "thanks for trying to help" reads as "thanks, but you're wrong."

 

I don't think the process I described is wrong, but you "do not recommend" it.

 

If you don't recommend it, the option should probably be slightly better hidden within the menus?
