How do I permanently disengage driving mode? I've turned it off through the messenger app but it turns back on after an hour. I'm also Android user. Any help would be appreciated.

@caeytel @Deniece655 You guys do not provide us with basic info like phone model... Now, I could guess it for @caeytel as it popped up in their signature, along with wireless provider. I am assuming @Deniece655 is on Verizon as well? Yes? No? This is not Fitbit issue as @AlejandraFitbit has stated. It's your messaging app (Message+) and you allowing the tracker to be a trigger device. Here's how to turn off the Driving mode in the messaging app and more on trigger devices.

A warm welcome to the Forums @caeytel.

Could you please be more specific about the issue you are experiencing, since Fitbit Versa doesn't have a driving mode?

Hope to hear from you soon. Woman Happy

Ever since downloading the app and setting up the Fitbit every hour or so, my phone automatically goes into driving mode and sends automatic replies. I have gone into my settings and have manually turned it off but it turns back on.

Thanks for the clarification @caeytel. I don't think that this is a Fitbit issue. If your tracker is properly working with the Fitbit app, I recommend getting in touch with the support of the app you downloaded for driving. Or you can also uninstall and reinstall that app.

Let me know if you need anything else. Woman Happy

This isn't a phone issue, it has to do with the Fitbit.  I never had this problem until I got my fitbit and it asked if I wanted to use driving mode. I said yes because I was about to drive somewhere.  Ever since then it puts me in driving mode about every hour.  I've turned if off on my phone settings and continuously on my text message screen when it's open.

I just shut down my phone and restarted and so far that seems to be helping... won't know for sure until it's been an hour or so.

@Deniece655 If Fitbit has been set up as a trigger device, each time it connects to your phone (for sync or other reasons), the driving mode will get triggered. If that happens, just go to the link I posted above. Good luck.

I turned it off days ago.  It didn't make any difference.  I never had this issue until I set up my Fitbit. Screenshot_20190116-064717_Settings.jpg

@Deniece655 As I said, just turning off Driving mode manually will not be enough. Because you agreed for your tracker to be a trigger device. You need to remove the trigger device. Please take a look at the help article (whole article) I sent and dig in your Settings.

Thank you so much for that link. After reading what you wrote and fooling around I figured it out. FINALLY!! I have had the same issue like the others. It was super annoying and I would miss texts!!

Thank you again!!

(I am Verizon with Galaxy S8plus)

Unfortunately any solutions recommended have not worked.  In my opinion, this IS a Fitbit issue, and there needs to be a way to shut this off in the Versa Lite settings ( or at least the trigger) because I continually turn off the driving mode on my Galaxy 9s.  I cannot count the number of times I turn off the driving mode in the messages settings (today alone I have done this 7 times), only to find out that as soon as I start walking, the Fitbit turns it back on.   I am now uninstalling the software and starting over to see if this will help.

I went into Message+, clicked on the 3 bars on the top left, went into
settings at the bottom, clicked on driving mode, & turned off both tabs.
Hope it works for you; I was about to throw the phone out the window. 😉
