How do I receive Outlook Calendar Reminders on Versa?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I previously upgraded my Blaze to a Versa. With my Blaze I was able to receive Outlook calendar reminders but when I spoke with Fitbit tech support I was told that I could receive Outlook reminders but this means I would receive all of the calendar reminders as well as my email. I don't want the email (it's my work email) but I need the reminders. At the same time that I bought the new Versa I also switched from iPhone to Android.

Welcome to the Community Forums @amber9802.

The basic here is to make sure your calendar notification are turn On from your Notification settings  whiting the app and review also you have selected the calendar app of your choose and this Calendar app is syncing your events. Other reason that could be happening, is your phone's Bluetooth is not maintaining a constant connection with your Versa for this to receive your notifications.

So lets try to reset your app by logging out from your Fitbit app and going to your phone settings. Access to the App manager option and look for the Fitbit app in your downloaded apps list. Once you are there, clear the app cache and data and proceed to "Force Stop" the app. Finish the workaround by restarting your phone. When your phone has initialized, go back to your app and try again.

If is not working try the steps of the following post: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone. Also, make sure that your Fitbit app is up-to-date

Give it a try to these steps and let me know how it goes.

have Versa 2 and I use Outlok on my iPhone and the Agenda app does not connect to the Outlok Calendar app.

Outlok manages calendar content within the app and not on the iphone calendar. The outlook app can sync contacts to the iOS contacts so you know who people are when that call you but it cannot sync events into the iOS calendar.  This is due to the security nature of how Outlok supports device and application wipes via a corporate MDM.

The agenda app on the fitbit is only looking at the iOS calendar and the following are the only options for solving this:

1. Manually copy Outlok events to a personal calendar (hotmail or gmail) that is the synced to your iOS calendar.

2. Someone said to forward events to your personal calendar that is synced to iOS but his would notify  everyone that invites you to a meeting that you are also forwarding the meeting invite to a personal address as well which is not a good route to take.  Most companies watch for and block this type of activity.

3. Purchase a 3rd party sync utility to sync your Outlok calendar to another personal calendar that is synced with the iphone. This to be up and running on a computer at all times, costs additional money, and it complex.

4. Fitbit to provide an app that connects with O365 services like they have done with so many other web services. This would open the door for not only connectint the Outlok calendar to the Agenda app, you could add additional notifications about ToDo, Planner, Tasks, SharePoint, Teams, Skype, Etc...

I called Fitbit support and I'm SUPER dissatisfied with their response which was none of the above options.    **** They said they can't fix it.   ****

Millions of users are on O365 and more and more people being moved to modern application environments such as the Outlok application in order to adhere to corporate security requirements. Fitbit needs to keep up with these changes and provide options.  The level 2 support contact I spoke with today did not even have the ability to escalate the issue, register a complaint or capture a  suggestion.  He just said - we can't fix it. I'm surprised and disappointed with this type of service from a company like Fitbit.

I was really looking forward to having the ability to use my watch as a tool to ensure I make meetings on time and see my upcoming events at a glance. That would be a great feature for me and I plan to look at other options in the market for this.

I can't believe this! I wanted a Smartwatch for the same reason, so I wouldn't miss work meetings & thought I would have this option with the Versa2. I can't believe that it cannot show my Outlook calendar events or notifications. Really???

I've had my Versa 2 synced to my Outlook for 1 single day, it showed me 1 single appointment on my watch then it simply stopped displaying the upcoming appointments. I used the Android Mobile app to setup the calendars I wish to sync against and still it won't sync now. This is simply stupidity, nothing so easy should be this difficult.

Hello!

I think I may be able to assist?

If you go onto your Android device and go into Settings, go to Accounts. If your work email is already here check that it is specifically an 'Exchange' account. If it isn't , remove this email from your accounts and re-add it as an Exchange account. Once that is done, go to your accounts and check that the calendar is syncing to your phone (do this by clicking on the exchange account and select Account sync, your calendar should be ticked with a last sync time ) then go to your Fitbit app and click on your versa2 icon. Go to notifications then app notifications and select Outlook. If you go back onto your Fitbit, go to the App Agenda and it should have now synced all of your Exchange accounts including your work email. It will display teams calls etc and should notify you whenever you would get a notification on the outlook app on your phone. Hope this helps as it worked for me!

This should be easy, but it's not. Versa 2 has completely given up synching to Outlook although Gmail is fine. Installed, reinstalled, rebooted, factory reset many many times and nothing. Alexa is sending verbal notifications just fine, which is OK if in earshot of the device, but need the wrist buzz!
