I would like kayaking to be one of the exercises I can choose to track on my Versa 3… similar to biking data with miles or knots per hour, heart rate, route tracking, etc.

Hi there, @jodieanna. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for your suggestion. We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services, and we appreciate all of the input we receive from our customers.
As @LZeeW has mentioned, when a specific exercise is not available within the exercises we offer, we suggest to use "Workout" (which is a generic catch-all for other types of exercise). Once you finish the activity, you can rename the activity to desired exercise/activity. Please note that the amount of calories burned vary from the exercise you're performing and due to the heart rate tracked by your Versa 3.
Note that the information to enter will change depending on the nature of the exercise. To give you an example, if you change from "Workout" to "Run", it won't remove the calories but will add distance as the main stat to be displayed, this happen depending of the activity you are categorizing. However, your the data already tracked will be still counted for your daily totals.
For more information about how to do so, see How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?

Hello @jodieanna and welcome to the Community. Fitbit's Outdoor Workout shortcut is designed for non-step based activities like kayaking and downhill skiing. It has GPS, so it will track your route. Your speed is reported in your distance units, mph or kph. The choice isn't intuitive -- Fitbit made a mistake and the icon on the Versa 3 screen is the same as the Interval Workout icon.

@MarreFitbit Please accept this clarification. Outdoor Workout is specifically recommended by Fitbit for activities like kayaking. While Workout is recommended for other activities that don't have a specific shortcut, GPS isn't an option on the Sense/Versa 3 Workout shortcut.
