How do I transfer music from my computer to Versa?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I can't seem to get the Fitbit app on my desktop screen as there is no install button visible? Also, can anyone give me step by step instructions how to transfer music from my computer to my Versa?

If you scroll to the bottom of this page, you will see links to install Fitbit Connect for each of the desktop computer platforms.  Mine shows MAC in pink but the small, grey links will take you to a page with your platform in pink.  Click that to do the install.

I'm not familiar with Windows 10.  Use use a MacAir.  What happens when you go to the Windows Store and click "Get" for the Fitbit App?   These instructions are from the Fitbit Help pages :

WINDOWS 10 PC
PART 1

Start here the first time you download playlists to your watch. If you previously downloaded playlists, skip to Part 2 to download new music and podcasts.

INSTALL THE FITBIT APP

If you haven’t already done so, install the Fitbit app on your computer:

  1. Click the Start button on your PC and open the Windows Store (called Store).
  2. Search for “Fitbit app” and when you find it click Free to download the app. If you’ve never downloaded an app to your computer, you’ll be prompted to create an account with the Windows Store.
  3. Click Microsoft account to sign in with your existing Microsoft account. If you don’t already have an account with Microsoft, follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account.
  4. Open the app after the download is complete.
  5. Log in to your existing Fitbit account.
CONNECT TO WI-FIMake sure your watch and PC are connected to the same Wi-Fi network:
  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon (User-added image) > your device image.
  2. Tap or click Wi-Fi Settings.
  3. Tap or click Add Network and follow the on-screen instructions to add your Wi-Fi network or check the Network list to make sure it’s already listed.
  4. Tap the network name > Connect.
  5. To see which network your computer is on, click the Wi-Fi symbol (User-added image) on your screen. Connect to the same Wi-Fi network as your watch.
  6. If your watch and computer are connected to different networks, manually connect to your watch to the same network as your computer. Return to the Wi-Fi Settings screen in the Fitbit app, tap the network name, and tap Connect.
If you have trouble connecting your watch to Wi-Fi, see Why won't my Fitbit watch connect to Wi-Fi? PART 2
  1. For best results, sync your watch in the Fitbit app, and then disable Bluetooth temporarily on your phone and computer.
  2. Plug your watch into the charger.
  3. On your PC, open the Fitbit app and click the Music icon (User-added image).
  4. Click Personal Music.
  5. On your watch, open the Music app (User-added image) and then tap Transfer Music. Note that you may need to scroll down to see the transfer button.
    User-added image
  6. Wait a few moments for your watch to connect. Note it can sometimes take a minute or two to connect.
  7. When prompted, follow the on-screen instructions on your PC to choose or create the playlists you want to download to your watch. After you select a playlist, the download starts automatically. Don't minimize the window until the transfer is complete.
  8. Note that if you take several minutes to pick your first playlist, Wi-Fi may disconnect to preserve your battery. Tap the Transfer Music button again to reconnect and continue choosing your playlists.

The place I've seen people have the most trouble is that they don't actually own the music they are trying to transfer but are using music that was downloaded from streaming service like Spotify or Pandora or Apple Music.  This music is only "rented" based on your subscription and not actually purchased.  make sure the music you want to use physically resides on your computer.  Create a playlist of music you want to transfer.  Don't do it song by song.  Also, the WiFi can mess people up.  MUST be your 2.4 gHz wifi band and not the faster 5 gHz band.  Your computer and Versa have to be connected to the same wifi band.  In my house I have my router, a hub and a net extender so there are several bands to connect to.  Took me a while to get it all sorted out.
