How do I turn Versa display off at night?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have turned the notifications on my VERSA off during "sleep hours" but when I move the display comes to life at night. Since the notifications can be turned off, why not have an option to keep the display from shining during the night? Right now when I make a movement, the display lights up which has distracted my wife a few times. Thanks.

Hi,  when you go to bed, press and hold the left button untill the Versa vibrates and you will seen that the display is set to automatic. Press that and it will be set to manually, which means that the clock only lights up when you press the left button and thus does not react to movements. Saves a lot of battery!!

Thanks for the reply.

Yes that is a solution but that requires me do it every night and probably every morning, then remember to do it again. Since my VERSA knows my sleep time, seems something could be programmed to allow the display to follow the same rules as the notifications.

Hi, I know it's a bit cumbersome but this is the easiest way to be certain that your display is and stays off. Remembering you to switch it on again will be an automatism that you'll get used too very fast, cause when you're up and move your wrist, it will not turn on. I would suggest you to post your question in Fitbit's suggestions board: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/idb-p/features, cause I'm not aware of another solution for your question at this moment. Good luck!

BTW, maybe there is a partial solution, that prevents your wife from waking up as a result of your display.

1. How is the setting of the brightness of your display: normal or bright. If bright, set it to normal or even dim, a matter of trial and error.

2. Choose another Clock Face that's not so bright. F.i. I use this clock face: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/85944iE8F9E65E5A3B04DA/image-size/medium?v... . What can you do with this clock face, which seems very basic:

It's called "Minimal Analog" and can be found in the "All Clocks" column of the Clock Faces. It shows in middle of the bottom several stats, such as steps, HR, calories and date. You can toggle between them ny pressing the shown stat. since it's size is very small (smaller than 50 kB), it's also very battery friendly.

Maybe these are solutions in the mean time, untill someone is able to program it for you. Good luck.
