How do I turn off notifications on my Versa Lite?

Hi, I'm receiving text messages on my fitbit device (versa lite). Wondering firstly HOW they know my number and how to remove my number info.

Hi there, @SunsetRunner. Welcome to the Community Forums. 

It seems like you've enabled notifications on your Versa Lite by mistake. 

To turn off the notifications, follow the steps below:

  1. With your Fitbit device nearby, tap the Today tab > your profile picture.
  2. Tap your device image > Notifications
  3. Choose the notifications you no longer want to receive and toggle them off. Also, tap App Notifications and do the same with the apps you don't want to be notified for. 
  4. Sync your device.
