How do you turn off and on the Versa?

How do u turn the Versa off and back on again?

Swipe left to Settings, then touch About and then touch Shutdown.  Press any button to turn  back On.

My original Versa I bought in September screen quit working after only 6 weeks. I received a new device. I do not know how to turn the messed up Versa and the instructions say swipe left and select turn off. My screen does not work so i can't see anything and i can't seem to connect the new one.

I would like to know if you keep having issues turning on your Versa? Have you tried to charge it? Did you press the home button?

It was replaced a couple of days ago and I haven't had any problems with the new one.
