How do you turn the alarm off?-Versa

I bought Fitbit Versa (color black, not that should have anything to do with the issue of

silent alarms) from Amazong during Thanksgiving Black Friday, used the silent alarms, different dates with different alarms and no problem.

Then my husband decided he wanted one, bought from Costco in Rosegold color this time and kept it for me & gave my husband the black version. He doesn't uses alarms. I had issues with silent alarms on the Rosegold color version - I could not get the alarm to shut off.  I tried single tap, double tap, resets, uninstalling & reinstalling the app on my Pixel 3xl and nothing worked. Consequently returned it to Costco and got a replacement - rose gold color version thinking there was an issue with the original  rose gold color model.  Unfortunately, the same issue is happening.  Silent alarm goes off and 9 minutes later it's acting like I snoozed it.  Next 9 minutes later, I hit the button twice to silence it. Next 9 minutes later, alarm goes off and I let the silent vibration alarm runs its course.  Lickily, since 9:45 am, no alarms, but I'm frustrated!!

How do you shut the alarm off???  I'm to the point of returning the rose gold version to Costco and getting the black version and hope that works.  Any help would be appreciated.

Try a left side button press.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

If I forgot to mention in my original post, yes, I did try a 1-push on the left side button. That however, acted like a snooze button and then 9 minutes later, the alarm would go off yet again.  I finally used/pressed the lower, right side button, quickly 2x and that seemed to be the solution.  No more snooze, no other alarm going off.
