How does the Strava app work on the Versa? Mine keeps telling me No Recent Activity. I've run several times. Do I need to download the Strava app to my phone?

This doesn't work for me still, it says every where that they're connected however when going through to dashboard on the app, the the watch icon, to apps, and then trying to authorise Strava that way it goes to load a page and doesn't load anything so although it says connected this seems to actually be the problem stopping it - any help?? 😞

Thanks. That makes sense, but it's useless for me. I don't want to carry a phone when I'm out running. I may try it to see if it works, but that won't be a regular thing. Well, unless my phone's GPS is better than my watch, but in that case I could have bought a cheaper model.

Thanks Dave, I used it on a run the other day but had my phone with me. The yoga things seems to be because no GPS is used which is a pity. I have to admit I'll be sticking to the garmin for the running.....

Appreciate the clarification. However, this is unnecessarily very limiting. I have been using my Garmin Fenix for all sorts of activities including indoor workouts that do not require any GPS to be on for the workouts to show up on Strava. Similarly Peloton has no GPS data whatsoever and still all the workout stats show up on Strava. Why can't Fitbit work with Strava on better integration with that APP?

Hi,
I’ve tried this but when it gets to the strava authorisation page and log in to it, when it redirects back to Fitbit nothing has happened and it asks for the whole process to start again,
please help

Hi
you need to have your phone with you to connect. If you wait til your watch connect to gps then when you at finished your activity it will sync with strava. To be honest, it’s rubbish but it's the only way it works!

I am synced within the apps, but my Versa 2 keeps telling me to sync in the Fitbit app. I have many times and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app

Thanks for the info Lise. I'm just annoyed because I really don't want to run with my phone. That was the point of the watch. 😟☹️

Every Fitbit moderator keeps saying approximately this same thing in every thread on this topic, as well as every thread related to how to get heart rate data to sync from the Versa or Versa 2 to Strava. However, YOU ARE WRONG!
Please research the issue, try using the specific device in question and syncing yourself rather than writing what your employee manual says to write, and give us the actual fix. Or, maybe the ability to view Strava on the Versa devices does not exist?
I have synced the apps - Both Fitbit device and the Strava website confirm that I am linked. However, the Versa 2 Strava app still says to record my first activity (this has been an issue for 3 months, with several recorded runs, and I record every run on both my Versa 2 watch AND Strava phone app (both devices are with me for GPS purposes since the Versa does not have GPS.)
The Strava phone app and web site both show my exercise, and I usually need to delete one (since it DID bring in my Versa tracked exercise. However, heart rate data never syncs (which means my Strava Summit subscription is basically worthless for what I use it for), and the Versa 2 Strava app still says "No recent activity, Link account..."
Is there any competent Fitbit Moderators out there that can stop providing the BS same response that does not work? Please test one of your own Versa 2 devices and link the Strava app. We do not need the fix for the Charge 2 - Clearly they do not work the same.
Thank you in advance for your help.

I had the same issue for a very long tome on my Versa 2 and their support team was no help....once it says connected on the Fitbit app and Strava app, restart your Versa. That's what worked for me.
