It usually has some charge when new so a couple of hours will be plenty to get through the setup. You could have a quick look through the manual while you wait!

I hope you enjoy your versa as much as I do mine.

I usually charge it daily when I’m taking a shower. You should have no problem with enough battery life for a couple of days. I found that for a longer lasting battery you should leave it on the charger at least 2 to 3 hours longer after your Fitbit says100%.

Most the time there is enough power to complete setup and use for a day so you can charge, fully, that night.

Purchased FitBit Versa and began set-up process. It has now been 15 hours and the unit is still not charged. I think this should be returned to the point of purchase. thoughts??

I'd see if I can exchange it.  If you got it through Fitbit, you might want to contact Support and see if they would be willing to exchange it.

Mine takes 30-60 mins, I think. It has a long battery life, but doesn't take long to charge.

What I like to do is put my Versa on charge when the battery drops below 30% and take it off when it gets over 90%. This usually takes 30 - 60 minutes

I usually charge my when I’m taking a shower, and every few weeks charge it overnight.

Wouldn't recommend this, may give you a longer lasting battery but this will reduce the life of the battery substantially, especially if doing it regularly. As fitbits don't have replaceable batteries you may find yourself needing to replace the device every couple of years when the battery life becomes abysmal.

What charging method is most beneficial for extending the life of the battery?

I just upgraded to a Versa 2. I had it plugged for 2 days now and it does show as fully charged.  There is something wrong with this as my Charge 2 only takes a couple of hours or less.  Any advice?

I just bought a versa 2 less than a week ago. I can barely get through a day before the battery is dead sometimes not even that long. Is there a problem with the device or am I doing something wrong?
