The watch faces by Lignite cost money. How many of the watch faces cost money? Are all the watch faces shown in the gallery available for the FitBit VERSA? Can you tell me about the watch faces and how they work? Thanks!

Andrew, many of the watch faces in the Gallery do require a nominal fee (quite often, 99 cents) after a few days free trial. Be sure and read all about any face you are considering. When you see a "Learn More" link, be sure and click on it.

All of the clock faces from the Ionic are also featured on the Versa.

Andrew,
In the Fitbit app where you select your watchface the top row is Fitbit created, IE: Free
All the other watchfaces are created by other people and they want to be paid for their time. Just browsing I've noticed most all are $.99-$1.99.
That's not too much to pay someone for a good creation IMHO in order to make your "watch" uniquely yours.
Hope this helps
