Hi
I was excited to get myself the Versa to give as gifts, but after reading all the issues people are having with the Versa, I'm having second thoughts, not wanting to risk giving my recipients stress (this device is suppose to make them healthier).
With no great alternative yet, without having to buy an iphone + apple watch pair, the Versa is still on my radar.
Since I have no experience with the company, I just wanted to ask those who have been Fitbit customers for a while, how quick is Fitbit to release updates for their devices, how is their support, and do they try to resolve ALL the issues after a month or two? Or do they just forget and move on to their new release?
Thank you very much

@knowsnofitness Hey, there! Great question.
We periodically release new firmware updates and they are always announced on the product Community board. If you check back in the coming months, there will be a floated post at the top of the Versa board with release notes/fixes. We also have a help article that outlines the same information for reference. That being said I can't provide a date for the next Versa firmware release, but rest assured there will be one.

Keep in mind official release date is 16 April. I'm sure there issues reported are from those who received in pre-order direct from fitbit or PR/review. Give it a week, I'm sure an update will follow. It's very glitchy!

I have been with Fitbit since 2010. I purchase the classic, then the Ultra and then the one.
Since then they have grown a lot. And I have tried all their trackers
Support is awesome, They bend over backwards to help you if its in warranty. If not they still offer a discount of some kind

Like @G.Almeida said, the release date isn't until next Monday. And like with every product, it can't be perfect and definitely won't come close for the first bunch (some will but if your unlucky...) while Fitbit customer service is frustrating, they have one year warranty. I've been with Fitbit since since charge HR (okay that's the the only Fitbit product I've bought before this but I've been keeping up). They do an excellent job at replacing items. Yes, the ionic was a bit shaky but remember it was their first smart watch product and as you can see, the versa is the improved version of it. Do they fix it right away? No, not always. But do they try to asap? Definitely.

All the issues??? There are always a few issues with new products. Don’t let a few vocal complaints scare you away from buying a fabulous product.

A lot of day one issues with the Ionic (connection, reliable notifications, accurate hr, phone compatibility) still exists. So I'm not sure about that one. At least they are working on Fitbit OS, so problems might be solved, I'm just not impressed by their pace.

I have had a different experience with fitbit support. I explained issue with versa and they kept telling me nothing wrong and would not replace it. After over 20 emails and 2 phone calls they have said I can return it, but they won't send a replacement , which I could not understand.
I used fitbit previously when I had issues with charge2 and they were great, so I'm not sure why the support for the versa is different.

Hi I just realised that there's meant to be an update in May to allow Android users to be able to use pre-loaded replies to messages. And there's the female health update to follow later in the year. Not familiar with past history of updates, but there is at least a schedule of planned updates that hopefully will address glitch issues
