How to clean exclusive lilac material band? Not practical. I wear this everyday and even the die from my jeans stains it:(

It seems that fitbit are aware of the risk of this happening. Their advice is::

  • Regularly clean your band and wrist—especially after working out or sweating. Rinse the band with water. Do NOT use hand soap, body soap, dish soap, hand sanitizers, cleaning wipes or household cleaners, which could get trapped beneath the band and irritate skin. Instead use a soap-free cleanser like Cetaphil to clean the wristband. Always dry the band well before putting it back on.
  • To remove buildup of lotions and oils (such as sunscreen, insect repellent and moisturizers) that can be trapped beneath the band, we recommend that you use a soap-free cleanser like Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser or Aquanil. Rinse thoroughly and dry well.
  • For tough spots, stains or buildup on your band, scrub with a wet, soft-bristled toothbrush.
  • For light-colored elastomer accessory bands, minimize direct contact with dark-colored clothing, as color transfer may occur.

I bought mine exclusively for the lilac bands only to learn you can’t wear the woven bands for normal Fitbit activities (workouts/sleep). Then it took me 2 hrs and 10 broken nails to put the ugly black plastic ones on! Sorry I spent the $.

FOR WOVEN / KNIT BANDS:

  • Wipe down the band with a non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. If needed, you can hand wash the band in cold water with mild soap, making sure to rinse thoroughly.
  • Let the band air dry. Direct sunlight, high temperatures and humid conditions can cause discoloration or damage over time.
  • The materials used in these accessories are intended to be worn during normal daily activity. They are not intended to be worn during high-intensity workouts or sleep, which could affect the overall appearance and quality of the accessory.
  • To minimize discoloration and damage to these bands, limit exposure to moisture and substances like perfume, insect repellent, oil, lotion or dyed materials like denim.

Hi fitoverforty. Late joining in but interested in this. My daughter wants a lilac versa. Not sure about that color!

I looked on the Help page when I needed to clean mine.  It said that you could clean it with a non-abrasive soap (I used regular liquid hand soap) and just let it dry for a few hours.  It was fine after that.

@Nana9697   The Versa with the woven lilac band was a Versa Special Edition that isn't available in the Fitbit Store any more.  If you are looking for it at an alternative site, make sure you are buying it from Authorized Retailer.  The is a link at the bottom of every page that is specific for your country.

There is an elastomer lilac accessory band in the Fitbit Store.  If it is the same one I have, then the clasp is lilac, too.  You can use it on any Versa series watch.
