How to connect Spotify HR to Fitbit Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have downloaded the Spotify HR app on my Fitbit and have the Spotify app on my phone.

I've followed the login prompts but when I open the app on my Fitbit it comes up with "No active device found. Please open Spotify on your device"

I've tried opening the app on my phone and also within the Fitbit app but still nothing.

This is what I wanted to know too. I got the Versa2 for Christmas thinking I could go running and use Spotify with just the watch. Is this not the case?? Been sat for 2 hours trying to work it out

I have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions in this reply string. I continue to get a message saying " connecting". It never connects even though I have full wifi, Spotify is open on my phone and my Versa is connected to my phone.

@Ali_hepp28 You cannot use the Spotify app on your Fitbit without the phone being nearby.  Here is what I've found out with the Spotify app on my Versa 2.

  • You must have a Spotify Premium subscription
  • Download the Spotify app to your Versa device in the Fitbit app store.
  • In order to play a song and see your playlists on your Versa, you need to first open the Spotify app on your phone, make sure to play a song, and then open the Spotify app on your Versa.
  • Once you can see the song playing on your Versa, you can swipe right and choose a playlist.
  • You cannot choose an individual song in the playlist, but you can skip back and forth in the playlist and swap playlists.
  • You cannot download your playlists from Spotify to the Versa.  The Spotify app on the device acts as a remote control for the Spotify app on your phone.
  • I have not tested this, but I'm 99% sure you cannot leave your phone at home and go for a walk/run out of range of your phone and still connect or receive music to your Versa.  Your phone needs to be with you if you want to list to music on Spotify since essentially the music is coming from your phone, not your Versa.

I hope this helps explain some things with the Spoity app for Fitbit.

Hi

I wonder if you can help at all.

I have the Versa 2, which I'm loving.

I have this connected to the Samsung s10e, which is all working well.

I also have a Spotify account and that is a premium one.

I did manage to connect the Versa 2 to Spotify, but it's managed to disconnect, and now, when I go to the login (via the Fitbit app), it won't go into the log in screen properly (elsewhere, my Spotify app is working fine on my phone).

My Versa 2 says "Log in to Spotify from the Fitbit app" but I'm unable to do that.

I've tried copying and pasting the log in link,

Refreshing the app permissions for spotify and fitbit,

But still no luck!

I'd appreciate any advice you're able to give me.

Thanks
