How to connect Versa Lite to WiFi

Hi,  I just got a Versa Lite. Right now I'm going through the tedious process of updating the firmware. Reading through the trouble shooting here, it says to update through wifi. Where is the wifi setting for the Versa lite in the app? I've tried finding the setting to enter my wifi info for the watch, but I can't find it in the app. When I go into my account, there is nothing there that even comes close to a wifi setting, only health-type settings. I'm using a Galaxy S7, system software is up-to-date.

I've had this thing going 2 hours now and the blue bar is just shy of being 1/4 way across the screen. The bar hasn't progressed in the last 15-20 minutes. At this rate, my phone's battery won't last.

This is so frustrating. I don't have the time for an hours-long update and I'm not able to just let my phone sit for hours on end to do this. I'm beginning to think buying this was a mistake because this is downright ridiculous. Is this going to happen for every update?

Versa Lite, unlike full Versa, does not have w-fi.  I think the Lite updates in the background via bluetooth when it can.  It takes longer but you should be able to ignore it and go about business as usual and it will finish update when it can.

Thank you for your response. I guess I missed the wifi info when comparing the versa lite to the versa.

Unfortunately I can't do anything with the watch right now. It's either put up with the extensive (going on 4 hours and only half-way) update or have the watch telling me to download the app.

I guess after this is done, if I keep the bluetooth off, it won't randomly start updating at inopportune moments.

Again, thank you for the quick response.

I haven't tried update on it yet, but my understanding was that you don't have to let it stop you from doing anything; just let it go and it will update bit-by-bit when it is able to without your being concerned.
