How to reset PIN code, "phone unlock" with Versa 2

Hi I recently purchased a Versa 2 from ebay and was sent without it being reset.

I tred to guess the password and couldn't, then came up with "unlock with your phone" notice.

I can't seem to get past this. Contact the buyer (whose been very helpful) but may be unsure about some of the technical features of the phone.

The seller replied with a correct PIN code but the watch is now in lock mode and will only display "unlock with phone"

I am in New Zealand and the seller is in Australia.

I'm assuming that I may have to send the phone back to get it reset. It seems to be a PINCODE lock thats locking the watch up.

 

Is there any way of resetting the watch? Ive tried  this suggestion....  you can reset by holding down the left button until you see the blue dot fitbit logo. once you see that logo let go. the watch will then restart.
you will need to download the fitbit app to sign up and us it for yourself.

The seller has tried to assist as best as she can and maybe the only way is with the original phone. Or is there a possibility of draining the battery life and the recharge and then try with the correct PIN code?
