How to set Versa to read stairs climbed quickly?

At work I climb stairs regularly. My regimen is this:

Take elevator down to 15th Floor

    Run to 20th floor

    Walk to 25th floor

    Return to Desk

I have recorded time splits for this since 2013, averaging 31 seconds from floors 15 to 20, and 82 seconds from floors 20 to {Edit} 25.

Each of the 3 times I've done this with my versa, it has recorded 2 flights of stairs, and very little elevation in heart-rate.  How do I set it to record 10 (or even 😎 flights?

Today I tried recording my climb as a workout.  It says I ran 20 meters and had a heart-rate of 86 bpm.

How Floors how counted

Floors are counted using an altimeter. An altimeter is a sensor that calculates altitude based on atmospheric pressure and atmospheric pressure decreases with increasing elevation, so the it calculates elevation gain based on the reduction in atmospheric pressure. Your trackers register a floor when they detect continuous motion combined with an elevation gain of about 10 feet. Given the fact that 10 feet is an average between residential and commercial floor heights, although commercial floors in particular tend to be higher than residential floors.

Run to 20th floor  Are you stopping at all? Holding on to bars? You do and they will not be counted

Walk to 25th floor  I doubt this is 10 feet in elevation I'm sure you also stopped to change speed so it will not count

Return to Desk

Running from the 15th floor to the 20th floor I grab the railing.  Why should that mean the stairs are not counted?  I try to do this in less than 30 seconds, but usually don't make it this fast.

Walking from the 20th to the 25th floor should be an elevation gain of ~150 feet.  It should be much more than 10 feet to climb 5 floors.  I walk at a rather constant speed, as I try to climb these 5 floors in less than 75 second.  It usually takes closer to 90 seconds.  😞

My Versa is still consistently only recording 1 to 2 flights for these 10 flights of stairs.  How do I fix this?
