I have steps on My versa but how do i set miles.

I'm not sure if I understand you the right way. Do you mean on the watch face. That depends on the watch face itself, not all clock faces show the distance. Change to an other clock  face and you'll have it. But in the Today section and in the app you can see it anyways.
