Hello everyone, I know this issue has been posted many times but I haven't found any solutions. I have a MacBook Air and a Fitbit Versa. I picked the Versa partially because I you can download music onto it and after being gifted a bluetooth earphones for xmas I have realised it is impossible to get music onto the versa. My MacBook Air is bluetooth enabled and won't find my FitBit when everything other gadget does. A lot of solutions involve downloading the FitBit connect App. It is not available on the Mac App Store! If you do find a way to download it the versa isn't listed as a device. One FitBit admin stated to use the FitBit app on a mobile device, however I tried that and it says it music transfer must be completed using a desktop. This is ridiculous! I am really frustrated. This seems to be a common problem so has anyone managed to find a way around this or do hundreds of people have a FitBit with an unusable feature on it? I'd be grateful for any advice.

Hello @UnicornGlitter, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums an for sharing your experience with us. Please note that to download playlists to your watch, you need a computer with a Wi-Fi connection and the free Fitbit desktop app for Mac: Fitbit Connect app. Keep in mind you can only transfer files that you own or don’t require a license.
To download music and podcasts to your watch, create at least 1 playlist of songs or podcasts in iTunes, make sure you approve the app to share playlists with your watch:
Open iTunes on your computer > Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Share iTunes Library XML with other applications > OK.
In order to transfer Music from your Mac, first connect to WiFi:
Make sure your watch and your Mac are able to be connect to the same Wi-Fi network:
If you have trouble connecting your watch to Wi-Fi, see Why won't my Fitbit watch connect to Wi-Fi?
After that, install Fitbit Connect:
Install a free software application called Fitbit Connect that lets you download music and podcasts from your iTunes Library to your watch.
Now, we're ready to transfer Music from your Mac computer to your Versa:
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and keep us posted in case you need anything else.

I am having the same problem now and fit bit customer reps are basically no help. I am so frustrated., I am ready to throw this versa 2 in the drawer and go buy an apple phone. We’re you able to get this issue resolved. I have a 2010 MacBook Pro. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Lenny

The issue could be resolved by having an app in the Mac store the same way Microsoft does. What is Fitbit doing about this? I am ready to toss this watch and get an Apple Watch. This is pure nonsense. Lenny

In addition to the challenges mentioned by others, the above instructions keep referring to iTunes, which is outdated. Apple replaced iTunes in 2019 with the Apple Music app, which provides no option for sharing music lists. What is the workaround for accessing music to transfer to the Versa2?

Only workaround is to throw this watch in the trash can and get a garmin or apple watch
