Yes!  I did it 🙂
I found this post by kcronin and followed these directions and it worked.  It took a while, so I'd plug in my versa first.

I was able to do this but it wasn't easy.  I'll let you know what I did.

1.  Make a playlist in iTunes specifically to upload to your Versa.  Make sure it doesn't exceed the space limit of ~300 songs.  I did 60 songs to start.

2.  Make sure your MacAir and your Versa are connected to the same 2G wifi network.  This only works over a slower 2G band.

3.  I put my Versa in the charge cradle and connected to the MacAir.  I plugged in the power cord for the MacAir.

4.  Make sure you have re-installed the FitBit Connect app since you registered and activated your Versa so that when you open the Connect app you have the option of "Manage My Music".

5.  Click on Manage My Music and open the Music app on your Versa as instructed pressing "Transfer Music".

6.  Select the playlist you have especially made for your Versa.  Music needs to be stuff you have purchased and resides on the MacAir.  Family Sharing music won't work.

7.  One of the most important steps - Disable any Sleep or Power Saving on the MacAir.  Everytime the laptop went to sleep, the Transfer stopped.

I think it took about an hour to transfer 60 songs. Might have been shorter if I had figured out not to sleep the laptop.  Try to be near your router.  I have a Net Extender I use for the house network and I was very near to my extender.

I just discovered that I had to reinstall a new fitbit connect to my Mac.  I previously had owned other fitbit devices and the old "connect" desktop version did not have the music sync button. Once I reinstalled an update version of the Fitbit connect, I was able to download music from my iTunes on my laptop.  I'm really disappointed that I can't have a spotify app on this Versa.  Hopefully that will change.  Good Luck!

Hi there everyone, thank you for visiting the Fitbti Community and I'm glad to read  you were able to sorted out the music transfer with your Fitbit Versas @trsoucy@Skyybluepurple and @CafeKathleen.

If still are some questions regarding this process, I would like to share with you the following help article: How do I listen to music and podcasts on my Fitbit watch?

Here you will find all the details to transfer music to your watches.

If you have more questions, just let me know. I'll be visiting this thread to help you further.

Thanks for this info - especially the bit about changing the settings in itunes to allow the sharing of music.  I must admit the first couple of times I tried to drag and drop tracks it wouldn't let me - then I saw the instruction to restart the computer.  When I went back to transferring music all my itunes play list came up in the fitbit app on the laptop and once I had paired back my ipod shuffle playlist to 300 songs the transfer started to work.- it does reckon I will be here 2 hr and 45 mins though.

I am having exact same problem as you? Did you ever figure out how to fix yours? Or did you return it?

Yes you have to update your Fitbit music portion of the app. I believe I followed up on the same thread with the exact steps. Now I can’t remember. 😂

Hello thanks for everyone's help last night while I was trying to load music from my MacBook to my new Versa. It was surprisingly easy after I shut off the other bluetooth devices around me. All my iTunes playlists popped up in the app, I clicked on one with about 140 songs and it took 45 minutes to load. The next playlist was 50 songs and took only 10 minutes. Couldn't have done it without the support I found on this site! Good luck and good health everyone.

I'm trying to transfer music from my iTunes, (I have Apple Music, and downloaded to my MacBook Pro), but when I add tracks to my playlist, it say the file is encrypted.  I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.  Please help!

The instructions say download the Fitbit Connect app to your computer which I did.  I have a Mac Air. The app tells me I cannot use it for Versa but the instructions to download music or podcasts say I have to do it from the computer.  I am very confused!

Wow.. so you literally have to be using a computer with its own wifi connection (ie. a laptop or PC with a wifi card or motherboard with built in wifi), not merely a PC connected to a router?

I had the same problem when I found out that you must do it like an old Fitbit  program on computer through the connector app and the music app on the watch
