How to unlock a locked Versa?

I purchased a new Versace today - 😁

i had of all set up & working beautifully 

I then tried to change band and it ended up having some missed pin attempts 

it is now locked 

watch says unlock with phone

wheb I go to phone app & to tomdebive blocked it will not accept my new password 

so frustrating

This worked for me but I need to reboot my phone for it to take effect. For now I've disabled the passcode!

@C3f, did you try Sarah's solution? 

"step 1: Log into Fitbit.com/login

step 2: on your dashboard find the gears button located on the top right hand corner :gear:

Step 3: Click on versa/iconic

step 4: scroll all the way down till you see Fitbit pay

step 5: deactivate Fitbit pay

step 6: go back to the mobile app

strp 7: sync your device first

step 8: try changing your pin again and it will work!"

Checked Bluetooth and my phone and Fitbit are connected.

I had the same Change Pin failed message.   You need to login to the web based portal and remove any credit cards you have set up on the Versa. Then you can unlock the Versa or change the pin. In fact you can use the same pin as before so not necessarily “change” it per se.   After doing all this you will have to renter and reconfirm your credit card information again

I am having the same problem.  When I go to the account settings, I do not have an option to "device lock" on my Samsung 7.  This is frustrating, as I can't even see the time.

I have followed all instructions about deactivating Fitbit pay and resetting pin but nothing is working for me.

I am now getting an error message on phone "data not cleared sync and try again" but it won't sync.

I'm so frustrated because I have a race tomorrow and desperately want it sorted by then 🤦‍:female_sign:🤦‍:female_sign:🤦‍:female_sign:🤦‍:female_sign:🤦‍:female_sign:🤦‍:female_sign:

You should be able to change the PIN once you’ve removed your Fitbit pay information

Yeah bumped my phone a few times at work which locked mine ,and had the same answers on my phone. Please someone tell us step by step how to unlock a Versa. Thanks, very frustrating!!

I bought a Fit bit Versa yesterday and got it set up and I have had nothing but problems. I thought it would be easy to try to access apps by swiping or touching the face and absolutely nothing happens.   I have to hit very hard just to get the clock to show or push the back button.

 

Now the fit bit is locked and it says to go to my phone and unlock it.  There is nothing to unlock on my phone that I can see, so does anyone have a suggestion  how to unlock my Versa???Otherwise I’m ready to take it back. Apple is much more user-friendly.

I went to my Versa on my Fitbit app on my Iphone, scroll down to "Device Lock", change the option to Fitbit Pay only"

Hi thankyou for that but when I scroll down to Device lock, it only gives me the option to reset pin which keeps saying at the end, pin change failed, sending me bonkas.

Hello there everyone, my apologies for the late response and I'm seeing some of you are still having troubles to unlock the Fitbit Versa due to the PIN failed to change in the Fitbit app.

 

The regular way to turn on device lock or reset your PIN code in the Fitbit app: Is From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon located in the right upper corner > Versa tile > Device Lock.

 

Now, I'm aware you have tried this already and you got an error. In this case a good workaround that I was able to test on my own, is like @razerf15 mentioned earlier here. Special shout out to you for these instructions.

 

However for those who are trying these indications, keep in mind this has to be done from the Fitbit.com Dashboard in the Fitbit Pay section. You can use this link for easy access and if you are not able to do this from a computer, you can always use the dedicated web browser of your mobile phones.

 

I'll will pass all your comments about this behavior to our teams in order to review further.
