This is so frustrating. My daughter locked my fitbit (she is one) and now I get this message unlock with phone .... that would have worked if my versa was still paired which it is not.

I tried holding down al 3 buttons but it just reboot and I get the same frustrating little red message again (unlock with phone)

Please if anyone can offer some help in this regard it would be much appreciated

As the fitbit is no longer connected to your app/account this is a problem. The only option is to do a factory reset and go through the setup process again. The problem with that is you can't get to the setting where you do a factory reset.

There is a way to do a factory reset using just the buttons but it's undocumented, complicated, and prone to problems. As such, my advice would be to contact customer support and have them talk you through the process. You can get them via contact.fitbit.com

I am having the same identical issue. I lost my Versa, and unpaired it... 2 years later I found my Versa FitBit and discovered the whole 'Unlock' message issue. I looked on here, I tried to do a factory reset using the steps to hold down the three buttons, releasing the bottom right button, blah_blah_blah... Contacted Customer Service chat, and to no avail the factory reset DOES NOT work on my Versa FitBit. (it is a Versa, nit a Versa 2 or Versa 3). The clock face is still the same clock face it had and I cannot unlock it or factory reset it. I have tried and tried and tried. I have the little imprints of the buttons on my fingertips from trying this a gazillion times. Pretty sad that I bought this and never really got to use it, and now it is no longer under warranty. SUCKS!
