How to unlock with you phone when the versa is not on my phone.

While showering my Fitbit versa accidentally got lock from the water coming out of the showerhead. The message said to unlock with your phone. I tried that and it didn't work. I read online and it was suggested ed I impaired and remove my versa and re add it back. Bad advice. I did that now I cannot add the versa back as I cannot see the pin on my versa watch to team add to my phone. Instead I see the message unlock with you phone  anyone k ow how I can overcome this?

Sorry typo, it should say the advise was to unpair the versa and re add. Bad advise, as I did that and now I cannot see the pin on my versa when I try to add my versa back into my phone. Instead it says unlock with your phone. Is there a way I can re add my versa to my phone and remove the unlock with your phone message?
