How to use the Versa and get notifications

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Hi! I just got my Fitbit versa yesterday and I must admit, I have zero idea how to operate this. I managed to set it up yesterday but I can't see my profile pic (even after uploading one using a web browser). I don't receive notifications either for SMS. I seem to be doing something wrong. This is what I see on my Fitbit.

- Clock

- If I scroll to the left, I see "exercise, music, alarms, coach' etc.

-If I scroll up, I see "Today", NO PROFILE PIC, and then it would show Steps, Steps this hour, Fat burn, 1 of 5 days weekly exercise., as I scroll down At the bottom, it shows "Settings" but it is the settings for the health stats and not for the Fitbit versa itself.

- If I scroll down, it says "Nothing New Here".

Please tell me what I am doing wrong. Thank you.

Hi @mizel0221, welcome to the Community Forums. It's nice to see a new face around.

I've moved your post to this new thread to keep our forums organized, and so you can receive more related responses about this situation. I'm glad that you got the Versa, and thanks for your efforts while setting it up. Let me help you with your inquiry. First, let me share that your profile picture will only appear on the Fitbit app or website, but not on the main device. If you'd like to have a clock face with your personal picture, you can change the clock face to "Photograph" by Fitbit from the App Gallery.

Now, regarding to your other inquiry, there are multiple functions that you can access when navigating through the Versa's screen. From the home screen, meaning the clock:

  • Swipe down to see notifications. You'll see "Nothing New Here" if you don't have notifications.
  • Swipe up to see your stats in Fitbit Today.
  • Swipe left to see the apps on your watch, including your Versa's settings.
  • (Some clock faces) Tap to cycle through your other stats.
  • If you hold the left button, you'll access certain settings. If the icon appears dim with a line through it, that means that the settings is off.

About the notifications, are you able to receive call notifications? If not, please verify that the notifications settings is on by holding the left button. Also, if you've not done so, I'd recommend to check this help article to setup your notifications. I'm sure you're excited to start using your device, and so you can take full advantage of each feature, please save and download the Fitbit Versa User Manual. You can always post again if you have any other question.

Catch you later! Woman Very Happy
