Huawei P10 not compatible with my Versa

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

On what planet is it ok to charge your customers $300 for a watch, then when it doesn't work just continually say "wait for the update"?

I've been waiting a month, called the help centre repeatedly, and still there are no answers or support of any kind.

When is the Huawei P10 fix coming in?  (Or where do I send my watch to get a refund?)

Hello @nparkes60, welcome to the Fitbit forums! I'm sorry to hear about the inconveniences you have with the Huawei P10, but yes, this phone model hasn't been officially released as a compatible device yet, and to be honest with you, we don't have a specific date for it; our team hasn't given us any update about this. However, in the meantime, I always suggest other users with the same inconvenience to try to setup/sync your Fitbit devices with the phone models they have (even though they are not compatible) 'cause they might work. For further help. you can take a look at the following help articles:

- Why can't set up my Fitbit device

- Why won't my Fitbit device sync

If at the end of the day you decide to return your Versa, if you bought it through an authorized retailer, you can get in tough directly with them. But if you got it from Fitbit, talk with them again directly.

Let me know how it goes!

i was able to set up my fitbit versa on my huawei phone but then it stopped syncing.  I am pretty annoyed that I spent all this money to upgrade and cant use it.  I continue to have issues with fitbit products at the lower price range so I thought i would upgrade and now I cant even use it.

I think this may be it for me and fitbit products.

Hey @AMM72, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! As I've been mentioned, since this phone model, the Huawei P10 isn't compatible, you might have issues either at the moment to set it up, syncing or using the connected GPS. It is hard for me to determine with which features it'll give you inconveniences, but I can tell you that I can't guarantee it wort at 100%. What I can suggest you, is to take a look at the troubleshooting in this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? To make it work with your Versa.

Hey @kacenkaname, let me give you a warm welcome to the Community! To be honest with you my friend, we as moderators don't have this information available, so I can't give you an estimate of when this device is gonna be full compatible with Fitbit Versa or any other Fitbit tracker. However in the meantime, you can try the following troubleshooting in these help articles:

- Why can't set up my Fitbit device?

- Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

Just keep in mind that I can't guarantee that even after trying those tips, it'll work.

@carla1989, welcome aboard! Thanks for contacting our Support team to get further information about the compatibility of the Huawei P20 Lite. Just like they mention, there are some Huawei models aren't compatible with Fitbit devices due to Bluetooth issues and we don't really know if this will be fixed in the near future. However, if you have an iPad, I urge you to keep syncing with it, as most of recent iOS devices are perfectly compatible with Fitbit trackers and watches.

I will appreciate your patience while our team still working on adding more devices guys!

Hi! I also had issues with syncing Huawei P10 and Fitbit Versa at the begining. However, I have found solution to this. If you open and lock Fitbit App in your task menager, it will solve all the issues with syncing. Please let me know if this has worked also for you.

Hey @MichalJK, it is great to see new faces around! The Huawei P10 is a compatible device so you should not have inconveniences to sync it with your Versa or any other Fitbit. Anyways, I appreciate you have shared that tip to make it sync. I'm pretty sure it'll help other users with the same issue, to solve it.

I'll be around!

Hi Michal,

Thanks for the tip.  Unfortunately I still seem to be having the same issue.  It syncs for a short period of time, then stops again.  Even when I do a forced sync, it only works some of the time.  I get my alerts for an hour or two, then they stop coming.  I see there was a response from customer service saying that the Huawai P10 is now compatible, so I guess I'll try calling them again to see if they can fix the issue.  I'm glad it's working for you, this has been a frustrating experience with Fitbit.

If the P10 is now compatible, that's news to me.  I'm still having the same issues I've had since getting the watch way back in May of last year (2018).  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, adjusting the task manager and made numerous calls to the help desk.  What do you suggest next?

Hi, I recently purchased the versa Fitbit... I was so excited to use it and I'm really disappointed ☹️ that it's not syncing correctly with my phone (Huawei p20 lite).  I see there is mention of compatibility issues??? Is this still the case??

Has a fix been created for this? Please advise me how to sort the problem.

I am having problems syncing my Fitbit Versa with my Huawei P10.
Everytime I want to sync my watch and phone I need to restart my phone and forget the wi-fi network and reconnect to the network and switch off my bluetooth and switch it on again.
However, it is now not even syncing at all.  PLEASE can you give me a better and quicker solution.

Recently, I also had problems with syncing and with notifications on my versa. All this have started just after I have updated fitbit app to the new version. These issues are now solved - updating P10 to Android Pie has helped. Maybe it will work also for you.
