Hello
I bought last week two fitbit versa 2 and I use one for a Samsung and one for a huawei p10.
With the huawei p10 it constantly says that "Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker".
So far I have checked all the forums on this topic and I have tried everything. My phone allows the fitbit app to manage itself. No restrictions on it. Everything is enabled. I have disconnected and connected the device several times and also restarted both my phone and the watch a bunch of times. It just either shows notifications with around one minute lag or not at all. It does not show phonecalls whatsoever. The test call works everytime.
With music, I can control next /previous /pause, but the volume control does not work.
The phone's UI is updated and the fitbit app was just re-installed yesterday.
No issue on the Samsung with these.
The huawei p10 is in the compatible devices so I am wondering if it's a software update on fitbit's side.
Please help me as this is very nerve-wracking and going on for a couple of days.

Is power management turned off for the Fitbit app?

Hi-Thanks for replying!
The app has the automatic management off. Now the phone does not have the option to save battery for the fitbit app. I have enabled all the three manual launching options for the app. It can run in the background, launch itself or other apps can launch it.
Please let me know if I should provide other details.

Doesnotifcations now work? How about connected GPS? Or weather?

Notifications work from time to time. It still shows that message that notifications are not running and that the phone needs to be restarted.
The weather shows the temperature and the location.
The suggestion above was already set before.
This is why I think it's a software glitch on fitbit's end. It only partially works.
