I am worried my ex has access to my personal info via my versa 2

My ex took my Versa 2 and is not giving it back. I removed the app from my phone and pretty much forgot about it. Now bizarre coincidental things are happening and I'm wondering - does my ex have access to my personal info because they have the fitbit? I used it to get my Instagram messages, my facebook messages, and a few other things. How do I ensure they're not stalking my personal apps and social media through this watch?

Hello @LadyDivine91

What an awful thing your ex did by basically stealing your Versa 2 and not giving it back. Did your ex have your password associated with your Versa 2? You of course signed in through the Fitbit Community so your ex hasn’t changed your password either or you wouldn’t have gotten on here in this community.

You can look at your Dashboard here in the Fitbit Community (button located at the top) to see when the last time your Versa 2 was synced to your account.

If you feel your still being harassed by your ex you can certainly close your account and give you some peace of mind. Just tap the Dashboard at the top of your screen then tap the small gear wheel. Pick Versa 2 in the drop down menu then tap remove this Versa 2 from my account. Next tap personal information on the right side of your screen then under personal settings scroll down and tap delete account.

As far as your social media accounts your Versa 2 doesn’t have the password to those accounts. Your Versa 2 was simply sending notifications to you through your phone. You can’t access or change your social media personal information through the Versa 2. That can only be done through the actual social media account. If you feel your ex has somehow gained access to your social media I can only suggest you go in and change the passwords to the ones you feel are compromised.

I hope this has provided you the best answer to your question and hope that it has eased some of your fears.

Hi @LadyDivine91  personal information can only be found if your ex can log into your Fitbit account via your email address. If they know your email and password, then they could change the account's email to another one. Removing the app doesn't do anything, you need to actually remove the device from your account and/or close the account.
