I swipe to Settings and come to Screen.  It says "dim".  I attempt tapping, but to no avail.  Help, please.

Hello @Sirzune

Try restarting your Versa 2. You won’t lose data doing a restart. Just hold the Versa 2 button down till you see the Fitbit a logo then release the button. It will vibrate indicating the restart is done. Now attempt the change your brightness settings.
😃I hope this provides you with the best answer for your issue. Please come back and let me know how it goes

Having a related problem accessing certain settings--they are dimmed out. I've restarted my Versa 2 to try to fix it, but that hasn't helped. I still can't access Brightness, Always on Display, Do Not Disturb & Screen Wake.

Hi @Sirzune, @NetteD - have you tried pulling down on the watch face from the top once, and then again and tap on the 2 white bars to get to Quick Settings?

Make sure Sleep and Do not disturb icons are disabled, as sleep locks the watch in dim mode to save energy at night.

My versa 2 will let me change the brightness but nothing changes--- everything stays dim

Hi @llrussell  - try syncing the watch and then do a full Shutdown from the watch Settings, About menu. Wait at least 10 seconds before placing on the charger to restart and charge it.

Then make sure sleep is not enabled.

Can’t find anything on my Versa 2 that allows me to change the brightness. It’s so dim it’s useless outdoors. I’ve tried all the recommendations on the Community, but can’t find anything that says “brightness”.

Follow this path @Bogeyman4  on your Versa 2 : Swipe the clock face left until you see a gear wheel which it labeled settings. Tap that gear and the very first selection will say Brightness. Tap it. Keep tapping it to select either Dim, Normal or Max. One your satisfied then just push the button on the side of your Versa 2 twice to return to your clock face.

Thanks MegaBite.
1) when I swipe left on my Home Screen, (clock screen), nothing happens.
2) when I scroll down to “Settings”, the first thing I get is “Dim”. There is no “Brightness” available.
That’s my frustration and why I submitted this. I’ve been all over my Fitbit and can’t find anything that shows “Brightness”.

MegaBite - I just checked and my Fitbit is an Inspire 2, not a Versa 2. I’m sure that makes a big difference. Sorry.

Anyhow…still have the same question. Can the brightness be adjusted on the Inspire 2?

Thank you for correcting the type of Fitbit you have @Bogeyman4 😃 Here’s a YouTube video that can show you have to turn off Dim scree here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OdYQBBm_kdE

😉 Hopefully a video will be easier

Thank you, MegaBite.  Appreciate you sending the video link.  I already know how to use the "Dim screen" and that's not really my problem.  If I dim it, I can barely see the screen at all.  When I have the Dim off, I can see it, but it's very dark....indoors.  Outdoors it can't be seen at all.  In fact, the Fitbit the guy in the video has is much brighter than mine.  So I'm guessing there's no way to adjust it.  Certainly haven't seen anything in the manual that refers to it and sounds like this is the only option. Wish I had known or I wouldn't have bought it.  Appreciate your help.

😕 No @Bogeyman4  that is indeed the only access to any type of brightness for the Inspire 2. Has your inspire 2 always been super dim outdoors since you purchased it?

I took a quick peek at your profile and it appears you purchased your Inspire around January 2021 so your still under your 1 year warranty. I would recommend trying to restart your Inspire 2 to see if that helps improve things.

Here’s how to restart your Fitbit: put your Inspire 2 into its charger and then press and hold down the buttons on your Inspire 2 until you see the smiley face icon then release the buttons. You should feel the Fitbit vibrate letting you know that the restart is done.

If your still having difficulty seeing your screen then I’d definitely contact Fitbit Customer Service and discuss your concerns with them as well as your warranty options:

USA: call (877) 623-4997
UK: call 0800 069 8505
INDIA: call 000 800 050 1057
IRELAND: call 01 691 7502 (country prefix: +353)

More information can be found here: https://myhelp.fitbit.com/s/support?language=en_US

🤞 I’m hopeful that a restart will help but if not I’m sure Fitbit Customer Service can help you sort things out.

You're awesome, MegaBite.  Thanks for the suggestions.  I've been frustrated about this issue and wish I'd reached out earlier.  Didn't realize I was still in my warranty period.  I'll follow up with your suggestions.
