Hello, just got my Fitbit Versa two days ago. The Versa is my first Fitbit device, so I'm very excited about it. But I seem to have one problem, I cant connect my Versa to my WiFi using mine phone. When I try, it always says network out of reach even when the Versa is only besides my router. what can I do to solve this?

Is your Versa fully charged? I see in the manual that it won't connect to wifi if the battery is less than 25% charged. Just a thought.

Set your phone up as a hotspot. Connect to the phones WiFi. Not the router.

Hey there!
I JUST came home with my FitBit Ionic and had the same problem as you. Very frustrating. I found that the problem was that my router was set to 5GHz band. Turns out that the FitBit cannot operate on the 5GHz band. Set your router to 2.4GHz or to dual broadcast. When you do that, you should be able to connect. Worked for me!
Sad that a new wearable can't connect to 5GHz, but I bet it conserves battery life to use only 2.4. Anyone know?

I think it's both to conserve battery and to save the price. Anyway, Apple Watch Series 3 uses 2.4 GHz wifi only too, if I'm not mistaken.

Same issue with my Fitbit sense.. I tried WPA, WPA2 , WEP and None.
None of them worked. super annoyed also that everytime I select the network that shows "Network out of reach' , the password cell shows '(unchanged) but it does not let me connect so i have to enter the password. I am next to the router, same network my phone has no issues being connected to.
I am thinking about selling this one and getting a garmin

Hi @ClauChicago - why do you need to connect to wifi? If your watch is setup then you only need Bluetooth to be working to sync your watch.
Also in addition while your phone can connect to a 5 GHz wifi signal the watch can only connect to a 2.4 GHz one, this may be causing the issue.
Incidentally, if you try to manually connect to wifi you will need to enter the password each time.
