I can't control music on my phone-Versa

My versa works great. Just one thing I can’t get it to do.  Control the music on my phone.  Help.  Something about holding the back button down.  But when I do that the screen wake and notifications screen comes up.  I am using an iPhone.  Thanks.

When you hold the back button down and get to the screen wake/notifications screen, swipe to the right on the touchscreen and it will take you to the music control page.
