I can't get WhatsApp notifications on my Versa

Hey. 

I cant get WhatsApp notifications on my Versa. I get calls, texts, snapchat, instagram etc. But even thou I have followed all the guidance I can find online, I can’t get WhatsApp notifications working. 

My whatsapp is set up to send notifications to my phone and the Versa is set up to receive notifications. Any help??

Hi, if you want Whatsapp messages on your Versa, you will need to do the following: go to notifications - choose app notifications - scroll down the list untill you see Whatsapp and enable it y clicking on the empty square on the right side of the screen. Hope this helps, good luck.

I have tried that, but WhatsApp doesn’t even appear in that list for me to allow notifications?

Since I have Fitbit app installed on my Tablet, for which Whatsapp not available, I will install it on my device to see what the problem is. Just wait a few minutes.

I installed Fitbit on my device and what I see to solve your problem even easier is the following: go to notications - text noticifations - scroll down untill you find Whatsapp and choose it instead of SMS texts. I will try to attach a screenshot, so you can see that it's there on my device.

As you can see Whatsapp is present. If that does not work, or if you want to keep your text messages, go to app-notifications and choose again Whatsapp. Good luck.

@SunsetRunner can you please share your phone model and OS? Also, can you please confirm you can see the notification's text in your phone notification centre/drawer?

I have an iPhone 8 on iOS 12.1. 

When i I get a WhatsApp I can see the notification on my phone screen, but not on my Versa (I’m not sure if that is what you mean?)

I did a search whether there are diiferences in behavior of whatsapp on Android devices and iPhones. What I found, to summarize a long story, that there are differences in the behaviour of Whatsapp between the two devices. In short, it means that if you want to receive Whatsapp messages on your Versa, you will need to be online in Whatsapp on your iPhone, whilst this is not neccesary with Android devices. Give this a try and let me know if this solves your problem. Good luck

@SunsetRunner Can you take a screenshot of your Notifications setup? Notifications within Fitbit mobile app and WhatsApp Notifications in your iPhone Settings. You can also try toggling ON/OFF notifications for Fitbit mobile app in the iPhone Settings with a phone reboot in-between.
