I can't get the bottom left button of Fitbit Versa to push in

With everything I am seeing I can only determine that the Fitbit Versa just needs to be replaced. I have a samsung s23 ultra. Is there anything else I can try before investing in a new watch? I have tried everything other than the factory reset on the watch itself. I can't get the bottom left button to push in.

It's not your watch that is broken. It is the app that is broken. Even if you bought a new watch, you would not be able to pair it to the app. We're all waiting for the devs to come out with an update to the app that will fix the sync issues.

I see. I'll hang out for a bit and see what happens. I was looking into a
Samsung watch since I have the S23 phone. Thank you!

@ChrisInCaribou Nice to see you around! Thank you for your message.

@Hereweare , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message.

As mentioned by our friend ChrisInCaribou , our team is aware of the issue with syncing the Fitbit with the app.
You mentioned that the bottom left button cannot be pushed in.

As far as I remember the Versa has only 1 button on the left side and 2 on the right? Could you please clarify this with us?

If any of the buttons cannot be used, this doesn't have to do with the Fitbit app.
Please verify that around the button there is no damage or dirt  interrupting the use of this.
If you see any dirt, or blockage try using a clean dry cotton swab to clean it.

I have had nothing but issues with my Versa 2. I’ve used it, but the button hasn’t worked for months. Now, sure, it isn’t synching and isn’t showing the time. Definitely time to explore other options. At this point, I could not invest in another Fitbit. Sadly.

Ah, this explains everything. My watch has not been syncing to the app since about 4am on the morning the clocks went back, and the time is slow by about 20 minutes now. I was thinking the watch was on its way out.

I just tried again tonight to get it to pair. Nothing. Im going to explore
options as well. Sad because I have had a fitbit for literally years.

I meant the bottom right button. And yes, I can't push it in. I was trying
to reset the watch.

@Hereweare @LSVermont , Thank you for your messages. If the button or any buttons on the Versas you are using are not working, even after verifying for any physical damage, then you 'll need to contact Support
They'll be more than glad to help you further with this.

@SunsetRunner , Nice to see you around. If you are using an Android phone, then there is a new app released, ( V4.28.3) .
This has helped a lot of users affected the syncing issue.

Hi @JuanFitbit, yes I am using an android phone. Myself & my son (he's very tech savvy) have both looked on Google Play for the update, but have been unable to find it. My son said if it was available on my phone, it would say, but it doesn't. We also checked my phones system to see if that needed an update as well, but no. Not entirely sure what to do.

@SunsetRunner , Thank you for your reply! Your phone should have at least Android 10 installed for the update to be available.
If you or your son haven't found the new app version yet, please wait a few days.

The new app versions are released by batches. (Independently from your location). Meaning, you might get the update sooner as your son, or vice versa, even if both of you are located together.

If your son is tech savy he knows where to go to upload sept version of fitbit and be able to pair again .. which is what I did . Your fibit doesn't keep your data forever so if you don't synch with the app and you want your data ... better not wait for google/fitbit it's been more then a week and a lot of people have lost data

Thank you, my phone is at Android 14, the ipdate for Fitbit isn't on here yet. Thanks for your help 😊

Seeing as you don't know my son, nor exactly what we've both done to search for the update, I'm not going to respond further to the first part of your comment.

I know the watch won't keep the data forever, but seeing as my watch won't sync and the update hasn't been made available to my phone, there's nothing else I can do but let it go. It's not the end of the world if I lose data on my watch 🤷🏼‍:female_sign:
