I can’t reply to text messages from my Versa lite

I just got the Versa lite.  I can see text messages but I thought I was supposed to be able to reply to them with quick responses as well.  When I get a text it shows, but only offers clear as an option.  I have everything turned on in all the spots I know of.  When I go to quick response in the app it is light grey so I can’t click on it. What do I need to do to get it to work?

I found my own solution which was to restart my FitBit and to restart my phone so any updates that possibly occurred could function properly. After both were refreshed from the restart I checked my settings again in the app before testing with my husband texting me and replying through the watch. I have the Galaxy Note 9. I would also suggest checking the Google play store first if you have the updated app version (for Android users).

I just restarted the watch and uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it
started working.

Thank you so much for your reply. I do have an Apple phone. I wish that would have been brought to my attention before I bought this phone.
