I'm new to fitbit I just got the Fitbit Versa lite edition I've gone through all the steps but I do not receive my galaxy S9 text messages or calls coming in

I have owned the versa 2 for one year now & have never been able to open any texts. I have contacted fitbit numerous times, and finally they said that they are aware of the s9 problem and they are "working" on it. This versa has been replaced once by fitbit due to battery life issues. Of course they replaced it with a refurbished one. I had the option to apply a very small amount of money they offered towards a new one, and they wouldn't even replace it with a charge 2. I will never purchase another fitfit product due to the poor customer support.
