I don't like Active Zone minutes

Anyone else getting a bit annoyed with the new active minutes?!
Before, fat burn was up to about 110bpm and cardio 110-160bpm Ish, now fat burn is a 110 - 139 And cardio is 140-175!! I’m therefore suddenly never in cardio (despite knowing I am as I’m sweating and out of breath) and it’s not tracking it?  Also the heart rate monitor just shows blank randomly mid workouts.

this update has been total garbage!! Any one else with same issue / changes?

Hi @Geoden11, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for your post and for taking the time to share your thoughts about the Active Zone minutes feature of your Versa 2, I understand how frustrating this situation can be for you and even more because you're just getting used to it. To learn more about this feature, I recommend you to check the information that's specified on our help article: What are Active Zone Minutes or active minutes on my Fitbit device? and let me know if you have any additional questions. The feedback that was shared with us is really appreciated since we are always striving to improve the Fitbit experience.

I'll be around.

To improve the experience, please listen to the feedback of customers. It is not that we do not understand active zone - it is that we do not like it. It does not measure what we are trying to measure. It should be an option or an additional measure - not replace a useful measurement that was one of the primary reason for choosing and sticking with fitbit to begin with.

All that, and the battery drain this last update caused. I have to charge my phone 3x per day now!

I hate these new zone minutes, we should be able to choose whether we have zone or active minutes.  I just want my active minutes back.  I feel like giving up on fitbit after 6 years and 4 different fitbits,  I am now totally disillusioned.

Returning fitbit charge 4 and after 30 min walk was 1 active minute..  Will use my old charge 3 until I find another device. Certainly won't get a Sense.

I don't like them either, but I think they have changed to active minutes
on them all. I used to love going for a walk to see my active minutes on
my Versa 2. As I suffer from a bad back and had both knees replaced I can't
walk very fast but still got my active minutes. Now If I walk for 30
minutes I don't earn any zone minutes. It's totally taken away my
enthusiasm to do any walking.

I wish Fitbit would give us the choice to choose between active minutes or
active zone minutes.

Literally hate it. I just wanna know how many minutes I spent active and how many of them were in cardio. I don’t want double minutes for half the minutes I just want the total and the breakdown. And now I can’t compare it to the last five years worth of data which just counted total minutes without any doubling involved.

That is correct. I understand it. We don’t need an explanation. We just hate it.

I can help you game the system. Go into settings and customize the maximum heart rate. Move the slider over and type in a lower maximum heart rate until the fat burning zone drops down to a level that you actually achieve when you walk that way you’ll get credit for active minutes for your walks. I had to do the same thing. I’m hiking up mountains with backpacks but the beta blocker I take for my blood pressure keeps my heart from beating fast enough to get cardio credits. So I dropped it down.  I want cardio credit for climbing mountains

I don't like these zone minutes either not one bit. I have bad feet that cause me a great deal of pain. In addition I have suffer from back pain as well. Yet I manage to walk at least 20,000 steps most days. But after doing my walk Fitbit fails to pickup zone and that's just discouraging
