I started out with the the Flex followed by the Charge 2 and now I was so excited to receive my new Fitbit Versa Special Edition. Notice I said "was".
My Versa arrived today and I wanted to change the woven band for the waterproof standard band. I was able to get the woven band off but could not get the standard band on. Whoever designed this should be fired. Even if I was able to attach the band I would not trust the flimsy pin to hold the band on.
I called Fitbit Customer Service to arrange for a return and was told that I can return it but I am responsible for paying the return shipping. Worst customer service ever and I will not buy another Fitbit.
Edited to add that I'm happy for all who say this works well for them but that doesn't help me and it's going back.

There are some you tube videos that show how to do it. Once you have it figured out it doesn’t take much time at all.
The versa is not unique using this band attachment method. It’s pretty standard in the watch world.
gef the angle lines up right and it snaps in place.

I too had an issue getting the band off/on but no biggie. Took a minute that's all.

It’s really not that bad at all. Like what the others stated, just angle it down a bit and the band will go in. And it is pretty much the standard built of the bands with the pins. I love my versa and bought a few different bands to change out.

The plastic band is a bit more tricky, but doable. I found the leather band to be very easy.

It took me a minute to attach the large band when my Versa arrived. I figured out I didn't have it at the right angle. Once that was achieved it was a piece of cake. Granted the instructions are not too clear on this but it is not hard at all once you figure out the proper way to do it.

@Jayelo, do you mind sharing pics of your bands? I've ordered one from Amazon (still waiting...) but would like to get more. There aren't a lot of reviews online yet.

Total time to install large band after unboxing: <20 seconds. Have a couple of bands on order from Amazon and looking forward to seeing how they fit compared to OEM band.

They are suppose to come in tomrw. I’m looking for a good silicone black band but amazons reviews are not too great. Not sure if I wanna spend $30 for Fitbits one but at least I know they will be better quality and fit.

I ordered a bunch of bands and they are all small so far. they wern't listed as small but I guess they are coming from China and people have smaller wrists there or something.

@dianewordsmith I got my bands in from Amazon and I’m liking them! The metal one looks nice but I haven’t worn it out yet but I’m hoping the paint doesn’t scratch off easily. The Velcro band is super comfortable. The third party bands were a bit more difficult to put in so I appreciate the easiness of the original Fitbit bands lol.

I had the same issue. Turns out the band cannot go flat so when you put it on it's almost 90 degrees from the watch laying flat down and it will then go in right. The special edition band can go flat so you don't realize it with the other band.
