I was frustrated when my fitbit versa lite on screen said " Data not cleared sync & try again " , after many tries to update the app and still seen " data not cleared sync & try again " I decide try the update whit my PC in one pc I installed the versa lite for windows from Microsoft store , but was the same frustration no fixed the update.
So why I did to fixed , I just connect my Fitbit versa lite smartwatch in another computer and wait to the pc recognize my device and make automatic the updates for my device,, I leave my Fitbit connected to the pc and I proceeded to make the update from the app on the phone, the screen starts to fill blue in the updates process this take no more than 3 minutes,after this update finish the screen was turns on green, then my Fitbit Versa Lite comes back again .
P.D. I don't know if return into the old firmware but is working, I think was returned into the factory settings.

@AMARTESUNPLACER, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear about the firmware update issue that your Fitbit Versa was experiencing.
However, I'm so glad to hear that you managed to get the issue resolved by trying on a different computer. Thank you for sharing the workaround since I'm pretty sure that this will help other users that experience the same issue.
