I haven't been getting notifications. When I go to my notification settings I get a message stating "notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker". This is at least the 4th time this message as come up. What is going on? Anyone have any idea why this message keeps coming up??

I have gotten that message in the past. I always thought it was because of an update to the Fitbit App. However, when I restart my phone, notifications start coming again.

I'm having the exact same problem. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it keeps happening. Getting frustrated

The Versa notifications feature it´s wrong. I was able to make it work yesterday after following all the workarounds (restarting, unpairing and reconnecting to the mobile phone). But today after another mobile reboot it´s not working again. I not going to spend hours every day to have this working. It´s clear fitbit needs an update for this. If they don´t solve this soon I´ll come back to my peeble.
I´m using Huawei Mate 10 with Android 8.1.

I have the same problem. I tried everything but the issue occurs again and again. It's so much annoying that I'm thinking of returning back my Versa. I'm just very disappointed with it 😞

Uninstall Fitbit app and they try to resync with your versa, it should be working.

There's a known bug causing this at the moment. Keep an eye on the following thread which has the latest updates from fitbit:

I have Xiaomi mi 8 with last update to MIUI 10.1.2 based on Android 9.
Quite disapointing! To spent 200 euro for a brand smartwatch and to receive a **ahem**ty gadget which does not read well the sleep tracking and do not screen notification, that's a crap!
Hello, Fitbit, can you hear?
