I have resolved the issue with whatsapp!

Hello to everybody.

I've had the same issue of most of the owners of the versa 2: after a while, the watch stopped to show the WhatsApp texts. The only solution that seemed working was reinstalling the app. I was going to send back the watch to Amazon but, as I like this device, I dug into my smartphone.

Well, I have discovered that there is a solution to this issue.

You have to go to the "app" menu in your smartphone's system, then look for "Fitbit" and then look for "manage authorizations" or something similar. Open this menu and select "allow" for everything.

I selected "allow" for the following:

- background processes

- display views on lock screen

- access phone

- send sms

- send mms

- turn on blutooth

- read contacts

- read call logs

- use microphone

- location access

- use camera

- read list of installed apps

- access phone ID

Well, everything is working fine since yesterday on my MEIZU P7 PRO (which is not on the list of compatible phones).

I am quite surprised that the Fitbit helpdesk hasn't provided such a simple suggest to the users complaining...

Yes, I discovered a similar issue with not receiving notifications when the battery is low. It's not in the app and most users would never think of looking there. Thanks for the input!
