I am 5’2, 16 years old, female, 8 stone 2 lbs, and my cardiovascular fitness score was “FAIR”. My score was “36-40”. My average resting heart rate is 72, although I’m usually in the 80s. I have had an ECG recently and they said my heart was normal and healthy, as you could imagine, I was upset when I saw this result.
I am a bit of an anxious person so my heart rate is a little bit higher when I’m out or when I’m not fully lying down relaxed.
I understand that the score is measured by resting heart rate and my resting heart rate is usually on the higher end of the scale... although, I’m pretty sure I’m not unhealthy?
I’m a slight hypochondriac, so this doesn’t help. Thank you!

@Emzie02 Welcome to the forum! 🙂 Do not panic! There is no need to worry. As per your ECG, your heart is healthy. The score presented by Fitbit (which as you point out is an estimation based on population data and calculations) is a fitness score... What it means is well you could definitely improve. You mention your RHR is in 80s. It is fine but definitely with exercise could improve 🙂 You will definitely notice that with continuous cardio exercise. Give a free cardio workouts from Fitbit Coach a try. I found it a good place to start. 😄
