I'm getting “Clock error log into app and try another clock” when trying to change clock face

I tried to change my clock yesterday and now my Fitbit only says “Clock error log into app and try another clock.” I have done this several times and chosen a Fitbit clock and every time I do the clock will not load and I get the same error message. I have no reset the Fitbit 3 times, including removing the device and then reading it. This is super frustrating, my software is up to date.

Yes.

Here is what really worked for me (notice it is a patch).

(1) Reset the fitbit tracker to the factory defaults

(2) Remove it from the app

(3) Add the fitbit tracker back to the app (as it was a new device)

(4) DO NOT even try to update the default clock (which by the way is awful).

My other comment about the SW practices used to test/develop new apps was questioning their regression testing. How much do they test new features/etc....before they deploy it and deliver to customers? I would welcome if they read this thread to include this issue as part of the regression testing suite.

It took me days of frustration to get a different clock face but so far so good. I'm so frustrated with that and the synching issues that I ordered the Samsung Galaxy Active 2. I will miss my work week challenges but am looking forward to no synching issues.

Still I am facing issues... It's super frustrating.. Fitbit told me that they will send me new replacement I also filled the details.. They told in 5-6 days it will be shipped but its been 10 days I didn't when I try to contact them they are saying now that they won't send me replacement it's bad.. Why do they say after sending confirmation mail... My watch sucks really..

Pls let me know if anyone has received replacement

I guess I was one of the lucky ones as my Fitbit is working although with limitations. No clock face changes are possible, most of the apps suck, etc.   Typical case of overselling a product and/or quality control issues. In addition I am hearing customer service is bad...so as I have mentioned as soon as this piece of junk ceases functioning I will look somewhere else. Good luck everyone.

I didn't ask for it. What's the point of wasting time with something like this....

I’ve just done this as mine suddenly came up with it this morning (November 2019.  I’m not sure if the battery had died and it needed recharging though but I’ll keep an eye on it and see what happens

Hello
What i did was choose a fitbit clock face that was designed by fitbit. The charger accepted it and after about a week i chose one i much preferred and it worked ever since.

'1. Press home button and right side lower button at same time. This restarts the fitbit versa. Though got same error.

Just to add more clarity, in step 1 hold buttons for few seconds until versa restarts.'

This solved my problem! Thank you! @Neo01

I have a Iphone 5S. And I did what I post earlier...

'1. Press home button and right side lower button at same time. This restarts the fitbit versa. Though got same error.

Just to add more clarity, in step 1 hold buttons for few seconds until versa restarts.

Now I use the: 'Chalkboard' clockface by t.furuhashi.

Hello @Happychic372 I'm not sure who your addressing or phone number to what, but if you want to contact Fitbit the link is found by tapping where your photo would be in the top right.

This was driving me crazy with my Charge 3.  I was trying to fix the clock error message with my iPad Fitbit app and got in that clock error loop.  I tried all the different reboots etc. and finally gave up and tried it with my phone (android) app and it worked.  Wish I would have tried this 2 hours ago....

Set the system clock manually:
Go to Start > Windows Settings.
Select Time & Language.
Select the Date & Time tab.
Set the Time automatic: On.
Set the Time zone automatically: On.

This May Work,
Peter
