Totally Agree. I had the alta before and I could change my band daily.

I have to have my husband change the band.

I would also like to see more options for the Rose Gold Versa where the clasp is also rose gold.

And to see to the fabric bands sold with rose gold clasps to match. Just sayin.

Please make more bands (fabric and leather) to match the rose gold. All the clasps are silver..... which does not match.

Agree! 1 side is easy to fit, but not the other. Tried using the spare pin provided in the 2nd band - still no luck.

Hello @cate2505, I hope you're doing well, thanks for joining the conversation. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the forums and the insight about the Versa bands. What I've found really useful is putting the Versa band in a vertical position when putting it on, this will make the pin easier to hold when changing the bands.

I hope this can be helpful, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Holy moly. This band-changing is really a terrible design. I just bought mine a few days ago and am thinking of returning it. I was used to the easy-on/easy-off Alta and I changed the bands all the time.

I have just taken off half the strap just to try it and now I can't get it back on. I'm afraid I'll break it, and I've only owned it for 3 days!

I've been trying the vertical, but I cant connect the upper one at all. I have tried more wristbands, but all the metallic ones, don't fit. Only the one from rubber fits. Seems like its because that one is soft and with some pressure it'll work. How can I fix this?

Me too!  I bought a bunch of bands and I guess I'm going to send them back.  😞

I'm also am in the "Love the watch, hate the band" camp. My one suggestion is to try not to get frustrated with the pin mechanism. I was swapping out my band for my workout band a few weeks ago and the **ahem** pin would come out. So I continued to struggle and wiggle until finally the Lever snapped. And when the lever snaps, that band is in there FOREVER. I had to call fitbit for support, they offered to take the watch back and send me a new one. The whole thing took about 2 weeks without a watch.

I have, however, found an alternative to the pin bands. I found a type of band where you slip in the watch and not have to deal with the pins at all. Not able to share pictures at the moment, still trying to figure that out now.

This band literally took me 5 seconds to put on. The downside? its a third party band and i had to dig thru the depths of amazon to find it. There aren't a lot of selection and I'm hope that by posting the pics here, fitbit takes this design and makes a better looking version and of better quality. This is the only style it comes in from what I could find

PLEASE FITBIT... MAKE THIS

I have read the articles, watched YouTube and I cannot get the %$^*&$% lever to budge. I have tried the knife I use to open watches since my fingernails are too weak and it still won't budge. The small band barely fits my wrist. This is such a poor design.

Your Frustration is understandable, it definitely takes some getting used to. Seems like everyone has figured out their own way that works for them. My recommendation is to try no to force it and risk breaking the pin (Like I did), cuz then you're really screwed and that band will never come off. Most of the people in this forum will agree with you that it is a poor design, and I hop you got a screen protector cuz that glass will scratch. See the photos I posted earlier.

Having said that, the good news is that it may be difficult but the band is designed to come off so keep trying and eventually you'll have figured out your own little trick to it. Good Luck

I have tried for at least an hour. Then, when I wasn't paying attention, I took off the wrong side (with the buckle) and replaced it with the longer side with the holes. So, I know how to do it. I just can't get the "small" side with the holes to come off. It is like the pin is frozen. I am about to return it to Costco.

I’m so close to throwing the entire thing at the wall! This is the second band I’ve bought, as I thought the first was just faulty... they’re both dreadful. The pin clasp with the strap attached will not slot in place! Shocking design for watch that cost around £200!

OMG its the worst design ever!  How do they expect to sell bands when its soooo hard to swap?

Best Answer

That should have told us how hard it is to change the bands before we bought it.  I had that part of the versa.  Love it other than that but this is the worst design ever
