I think I just need to say this.  I love my new Versa. I HATE the new bands.  How many nails do I need to break.  Man Mad

What's the name of the company that makes the band you talked about and posted pics of? I'm having no luck finding it.

I liked the Versa too but returned it because of this issue.

I bought the band at Target. I will have to look at the name of the
company.

It was supposed to be specifically for Versa though. Is there a certain
type you are not supposed to use? How do I know? I have been only using
the band that it came with. Love the Versa otherwise but I would really
love to change bands sometimes and now I am scare to buy any more!

I don’t think the type of band makes much of a difference. It’s getting the pin back in that is difficult. After changing it a couple times, you get a feel for it, but it’s the biggest pain. I finally put the original band back on and decided not to deal with it anymore.

I'll explore other options first but I'm leaning in that direction.

I've had both an Alta and an Ionic and had no problem swapping out bands on either. This Versa is just a travesty.

How do I "leave the band alone?" How do I wear it without a band? I just got it today. There was no band on it.

That is exactly what I'm doing. Only using the original band.

The funny thing is that one side was relatively easy to change and fit in
easily. It's the other side I can't get to stay in.!

Mine didn't come with an "original band." There was no band on it.

The band that I bought in Target was from HeyDey.

it is very frustrating because I would like to change the band occasionally.  Not only that but for 200.00 they should make it easier to change.  It is past the time that I can return it and I like the style of it, but this band situation kind of ruins it!!  Now I see they are coming out with the Versa 2.  Will that be the same issue I wonder.

I actually went out and bought tweezers since, I don't know, because I'm a
guy and don't pluck my eyebrows, I don't own any. After an almost 2 day
struggle I think I finally have the band on and functioning. I'm keeping a
wary eye on it and expect it to pop off again at any time. I'm dreading the
eventuality of taking it off to charge it but that won't be for another day
or so. This is a major drag because I really like it. This is the third
Fitbit product I've owned so I'm basically a believer in the product. Each
of the 3 thus far has had a "quirk" that drove me nuts. They'll eventually
work everything out. The Alta is actually all I needed but the charger
drove me nuts so I decided to upgrade to the fancy-schmancy Ionic. I liked
it but it just stopped working after an update. It wasn't really worth it
to me to get it "fixed" so I decided to downgrade and just got this Versa
Lite online. If this band stays on I think I'll be pretty happy with it.

Glad you finally got it on. You shouldn’t have to take the bands off to charge it. I’ve never had to do that. You just set it on the charger and click it in. The bands keep it from being able to sit flat sometimes, but it doesn’t affect the functionality of charging.

I love my new Versa also. BUT, like an idiot took the band off to see how to put it back on. I wanted to get another color band for fun. I struggled and struggled. Figured I was tired. Went to bed without it. Tried it again in the morning - no luck, and to make matters worse the darn thing ripped near the pin. I am so disappointed! My husband was able to get the large band on for me but I have a 6 inch wrist - that big band just doesn't work because I have to wear the fitbit a third up my arm for it to stay on. The most upsetting thing is this was Christmas present, and now I have to get a new band for it. I bought 3 on Amazon. Leather one was only $20.

Yes, it's still a problem. I got mine for   Christmas - ruined the band trying to get it on.
