Hi. Just set up my versa. I am able to open messages if I have' preview on screen' turned on, but I'm not receiving any other notifications such as Facebook Snapchat messenger etc... is this an option or am I expecting too much?

It's not possible at the moment but someone has created a feature request for fitbit to add this. If you'd like to add your vote you can find it here:
