I received a refurbished Versa 3

I too just received a refurbished Atlas (Versa 3) and after paying full price in January 2022, I am not pleased at all!  My old one froze on me and no way could it be fixed and now I get a refurbished?   I will be asking for a full refund and not a new watch (I mean refurbished watch!)

Hi @Jobill  you see the link I posted above? The way the warranty works is that you receive what's in the warehouse when you are sent a replacement and it can be refurbished. As for your wanting a refund, Fitbit only gives a refund if it's within 45 days of purchase and it was purchased directly from them.

Debby I will not purchase another Fitbit watch again.   It has the worst warranty I have every had!   I did buy one before and I had it for 4 years.   I received a Fitbit Charge 3 for Christmas (this past Dec.) and it froze.   I returned it to the place it was purchased and the store replaced it with a brand new one.   Lo and behold that one froze and no way could we get it to work, even after on line with a agent trying to help me.   We finally they said they would replace it.  I too received a refurbished which is so wrong especially when it was a brand new watch I had.    I will definitely pass the word around not to purchase a Fitbit.    Not worth my effort to fight for a new watch.

That really sucks!   Better to buy an Apple watch as it won't keep costing me money and then being punished by FITBIT with a refurbished watch.

What exactly is a “refurbished” tracker? Fitbit, per their own statements, have no facility to repair or refurbish their products. So, in reality, they are just sending out watches that were sent in for warranty replacement. So people are bound to get replacements that don’t work.

that is just not good business. While personally I have had excellent experiences both with their customer service and smart watches and trackers, this doesn’t sound like good business practice.

Mostly these are  products that are returned because the users don't like the color, chose the wrong model or size "

I’m just wondering if they have been verified why are so many people who receive one saying they don’t work?

and why are they called refurbished?

sorry I don’t mean to start a debate it just seems that something isn’t on the up and up.

The packing slip says right on it that it was refurbished. I didn’t make

I was shocked to see it was refurbished and not a new one. It said right on
the packing slip it was refurbished. I bought a $300.00 watch and I believe
if it won’t work it should be replaced with a brand new one. --

Why would I want a watch that someone else had and returned? I paid full
price there is obviously some flaw in the Charge 3 as I had to replace it
twice , once where it was purchased as a gift for me and then I had to
replace the second one as it was faulty. Very disappointed in the way you
handle exchanging a watch that is faulty. I would expect a new one as a
replacement. Refurbished items don’t usually sell at the same price as new
items. I have had problems and the 1st purchase was only 7 months ago. I
didn’t want a refurbished one no more than you would accept a refurbished
item in place of the item you purchased at full price is less than 3 or 4
months especially a $300 item. --

However, please know these products are tested and determined to work like new. We don't send repaired products as warranty replacements, these are typically products that were returned to Fitbit unused.
