I regret buying my Fitbit.

I purchased my Fitbit around the first week of November 2019. I bought it as a Christmas gift to myself with the intentions of linking it to a wellness program through my work. I was excited to get it because I could link it directly to my employer's website and it would track my workouts. I put it aside and didn't use it until about a week or so ago when my fiance and I went on a weekend getaway.

It doesn't work.  I can't get the Fitbit to update and he tried everything that he could. My fiance is quite knowledgeable. He built computers from scratch and knows quite a bit about Electronics. He spent hours on the forums on Fitbit site trying to figure out how to update my Fitbit and let it sync with my phone. He couldn't get it to work. Because I did not purchase my Versa light directly through Fitbit, I cannot return it and it is basically useless. I learned my lesson. Because I purchased it through QVC and they only have a 30 day return policy I cannot return it to them either. I just don't understand why Fitbit makes it so difficult to return things whether they've been purchased directly through them or a store. What difference does it make? An item should work for longer than a few months. If I had purchased this item through QVC for my mother and I saved it for Christmas and it didn't work, I wouldn't be able to return it because it would be past the 30 days.

I might as well just throw it in the trash.

Hi, why not contact support? If QVC is an authorized seller, you'd at least get a warranty replacement if they can't help the one you have now. I've gotten pretty much instant support using the chat option.Support options are under "help" at the top right of the web page.

@Gmouse65   The advice offered by @MarkMM is worth the effort.  QVC is an Authorized Retailer.  True, you are past the return period, but you get Fitbit's warranty.  I recommend chatting with Support.  You just might have gotten a bad device.
