As recommended by @Guy_, try using a Bluetooth locator app to help you find your device. For iPhone, try LightBlue Explorer. For Android, try Bluetooth Finder.

Hi, the worst thing about losing something, is not knowing where you lost it!
If you have an Android phone you can try "Find My Bluetooth Device" by VT-Droid from the play store, wander around and see if you can get a signal, before the battery goes flat.
