Imnacurate calories recorded during exercise?

Hi all

I’m a bit a bit concerned that my watch is inaccurately measuring my calories burned during exercise. My Fitbit verse watch will say that I’ve only burned 150-200 calories after a 45 minute HIIT session.

I used to wear a myzone heart rate monitor which would usually say that I had burned approx 500 calories for the same session.

Can someone please shed some light on this problem? My settings in relation to weight, height etc is all correct.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Alyzamb. I am sorry for the delayed response.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing your concern regarding the calories burned during exercise. Thank you for providing the additional details and confirming that your personal details are correct. Calorie burn is based on two factors: your basal metabolic rate (or BMR) and activity tracked by your device. For more details, see How does Fitbit estimate how many calories I've burned? I would like to confirm how do you track your exercise? Do you use an Exercise app on your watch or do you let your watch to automatically recognize the activity via SmartTrack?

If you haven't done so, I'd like you to restart your watch as described in this help article. This will refresh your device internally.

I'll be around.
