I purchased my Fitbit Versa early this year.
All was well until August, when my device started recording abnormally high heart rates.
Ive done every method advised to rectify this problem, however, it still persists. Fitbit keeps reassuring me that their engineers are working on it.
My battery also now appears to drain faster than earlier although I don’t use my device as often as before due to the inaccurate reading.
My device also does not sync automatically as it did before,
I am terribly upset.

I am having exactly have the same problem, that started at the same time yours... I am on my third Versa & this morning they me told to buy another one... Something is terribly wrong with Fitbit management to let the the heartbeat issue not to be fixed... My wife has another Fitbit product & her heart beat app works fine, it is apparently unique to Versa... My Versa is useless, because of a software issue, insane... It is time to start posting on Facebook to let the world know how dangerous this product is that shows fake life threatening data

Their solution was for you to buy another Versa? Another device that has a high likelihood of malfunctioning?
That is not a solution..
Since it is a software glitch, Fitbit should at least replace these units or the very least offer to exchange or vouchers for other Fitbit devices.
We we could go on and on, but Fitbit just refuses to do anything to solve our problems.
And fitbit should take note that we do not need them to sympathize with us, instead solve our problem.
